In today’s digital world, our eyes are glued to screens from dawn to dusk. Whether it's work, social media, or binge-watching, we spend countless hours looking at digital devices-and this could be silently harming our brain. Experts call it digital fatigue, and it’s leading to a rise in symptoms like forgetfulness, headaches, tired eyes, and a foggy mind.
Dr Jayshree Arunaprakash from Dr. Agarwals Eye Hospital warns that long exposure to screens overstimulates the brain and damages focus. Bright lights, endless scrolling, and lack of breaks lead to a state called brain fog-where you feel mentally drained, can’t concentrate, and feel disconnected.
But the solution isn’t quitting screens altogether. Instead, follow simple tips: use the 20-20-20 rule, sleep well, avoid screens before bed, eat mindfully, reduce stress, and take screen breaks regularly. Even a 30-minute walk outside can help reboot your brain.
Digital detox isn’t just a trend-it’s essential for your mental and physical well-being in today’s hyper-connected lifestyle.
