We may also collect optional demographic or preference data (such as career interests, location preferences, or answers to profile questions) to personalize job matches.
2.2 Data from Employers
If you register as an Employer on the Careers platform, we collect business-related data you provide, including: the company name, address, registration numbers or tax identifiers (such as GST or PAN), name and contact details of the authorized representative (email, phone), and any other documentation you upload (such as company registration documents or logo). We also collect any information you submit in job postings (job descriptions, requirements, locations, salary details) and any correspondence or communication you have on the platform (such as messages to Applicants). This data enables us to verify your organization’s identity and facilitate your use of the Service.
2.3 Automated and Usage Data
We automatically collect certain data when you use the Service. This includes technical and usage information such as your device type, operating system, IP address, device identifiers, and general location data (derived from IP). We may also collect app usage data (pages visited, time spent, features used) and “log data” (such as access times and errors). We use cookies and similar technologies to recognize your device and remember preferences. With your consent, we may collect analytics data via third-party tools (for example, Google Analytics) to analyze usage trends and improve the.
2.4 Third-Party Links
Our app may contain links to third-party websites or applications. Clicking on these links may allow third parties to collect or share data about you. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the content or privacy practices of those sites. You should review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit before providing them with your personal information.
3. Use of Information
3.1 Service Provisioning and Communication
We use the personal data we collect to operate and provide the Service. In particular, we use your information to: create and manage your account, verify your identity (including via OTP as described below), enable job matching and applications, facilitate communication between Applicants and Employers, and deliver notifications (such as application status updates) and other service-related information. We may also use your contact information to send you transactional or promotional messages (email, SMS, or in-app notifications) about job listings, career resources, or updates to the Service. These communications may include reminders, confirmations, or marketing messages, in accordance with the consent you have provided.
3.2 Verification and OTP
For security and authenticity, we may verify your mobile phone number or email by sending a one-time passcode (OTP) when you register or perform certain actions. Entering the correct OTP allows us to confirm that the contact detail belongs to you. OTP verification is required for account activation and helps prevent misuse of the Service. If you do not complete verification, we may limit your access or functions on the platform until verification is completed.
3.3 Matching and Personalization
We analyze the information you provide (such as resume details, skills, qualifications, and job preferences) to match you with relevant job opportunities. Our automated matching system uses algorithms to recommend jobs to Applicants and recommend candidates to Employers based on factors like skills, experience, location, and preferences. These matchings are suggestions to help you discover relevant opportunities and are not guarantees of employment. We do not guarantee the accuracy of the matching algorithm, and we encourage Applicants to review job details and make their own decisions. Ultimately, Employers are solely responsible for selecting candidates, and Applicants are free to choose which jobs to apply for.
3.4 Marketing, Analytics, and Improvement
We may use aggregate or anonymized data for analytics and to improve our services. For example, we may analyze user demographics or activity patterns to understand trends, develop new features, or perform internal research and development. We may also use your information to build marketing profiles and target promotional offers about relevant jobs or learning resources. In most cases, we will rely on your consent to process personal data for these purposes. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time as described below.
4. Disclosure and Sharing
4.1 Sharing with Employers and Applicants
We will not share your personal data with employers or other third parties without your consent, except as necessary to provide the Service. If you apply for a job through the platform, you consent to our sharing your application and profile information with that employer so they can review your candidacy. Conversely, if an Employer submits candidate information (for example, referral data), we will share that information only with the prospective employee or other recipients you have approved.
4.2 Affiliates and Service Providers
We may share your information with our affiliates, business partners, and vendors who perform services on our behalf (such as email or SMS providers, analytics services, hosting providers, and payment processors). These parties are bound by contractual obligations to use your data only to perform services for us and to maintain its confidentiality. We do not rent or sell your personal information to any third party.
4.3 Legal and Compliance Disclosures
We may disclose your personal information if required to do so by law or in good faith belief that such disclosure is necessary to: comply with a legal obligation, enforce our Terms of Use or this Privacy Policy, protect our rights or property (or the rights, property, or safety of others), or respond to claims that an advertisement or any content violates the rights of third parties. For example, we may share data with law enforcement, government authorities, or regulators (including the Data Protection Board of India) when mandated. In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of our business, your personal data may be transferred to the new entity with the same protections.
4.4 Consent for Sharing
By using the Service, you expressly consent to the disclosures described in this section. You may withdraw consent at any time, but note that withdrawal of consent may affect our ability to provide the Service. Under the DPDP Act, we will not process or disclose your personal data beyond the purposes you have consented to.
5. Data Security and Retention
5.1 Security Measures
We take the security of your personal data seriously. We implement industry-standard technical, physical, and organizational measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your data. This includes encryption of sensitive data, secure servers, access controls, and regular security assessments. However, no internet-based service can be completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as required by applicable law.
5.2 Data Minimization and Retention
We collect and retain only the personal data necessary for the purposes described in this Policy. For example, we may retain aggregate usage data indefinitely for analytics, but personal data is kept only as long as needed for your account or for the specific purposes (such as open job applications). We will delete or anonymize your personal data when it is no longer required for the original purpose or when you withdraw consent, unless we are legally required to retain it. For instance, upon termination of your account, we may delete your personal information within 180 days, unless retention is required by law or necessary to complete any pending transactions. We reserve the right to retain certain information to comply with legal obligations or to resolve disputes.
5.3 Data Breach Notification
In the event of an unauthorized access or disclosure of personal data, we will promptly investigate and, if required by law, notify affected users and the Data Protection Board of India. We will also take appropriate remedial measures to mitigate harm and prevent recurrence.
6. Data Principal Rights under DPDP Act
Under the DPDP Act, as a Data Principal (user of our Service) you have certain rights regarding your personal data, which we facilitate:
6.1 Right to Access and Rectification: You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you and to request correction of any inaccurate or incomplete information.
6.2 Right to Erasure and Withdrawal of Consent: You may request the erasure of your personal data from our systems or withdraw your consent for processing at any time. Note that if you withdraw consent or refuse to provide certain information, we may be unable to continue providing certain services to you. We will cease processing and delete your data when you request, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes.
6.3 Right to Nominate and Redress: You have the right to nominate another person to exercise your rights on your behalf in case of your death or incapacity. You also have the right to seek redressal of grievances: first by contacting us (as described below) and then, if unsatisfied, by approaching the Data Protection Board of India.

If you have concerns about our processing of your personal data, you may file a complaint with our Grievance Officer or directly with the Data Protection Board of India. Upon request, we will inform you of the identities of all other Data Fiduciaries with whom your personal data has been shared and the categories of data shared, to the extent practicable and required by law.
7. Employer-Specific Provisions
7.1 Employer Data Collection and Use
In addition to the information described above, Employers are required to provide certain data to use the Careers platform. This includes official company details (company name, address, industry), registration or tax numbers, and the name and contact information of the person registering the account. Employers may also upload documents (e.g. registration certificate, PAN card) to verify authenticity. All Employer-provided data is used to set up and manage the employer account, verify the employer’s identity, and enable posting and management of job listings. We may also use Employer information for analytics, fraud prevention, and to improve our Services.
7.2 Employer Verification and Legal Responsibilities
We reserve the right to verify the information provided by Employers, including contacting authorities or using third-party services to confirm business registrations. Employers represent and warrant that the information and job postings they provide are accurate and comply with all applicable laws. Each Employer is solely responsible for the content of its job postings and communications. We do not employ or endorse any candidates; we are merely a facilitator. Employers must ensure that job descriptions are truthful and do not violate any third-party rights.
7.3 OTP Validation for Employers
We may use OTP-based verification (via SMS or email) to confirm the employer’s contact details. This helps ensure that only authorized representatives can create an employer account and post jobs on behalf of the company.
7.4 Restrictions on Employer Use of Data
Employers may access personal data of Applicants who apply to their job postings. Employers must use applicant data solely for recruitment and hiring purposes within the platform. Employers are strictly prohibited from exporting, selling, publishing, or otherwise misusing applicant data. Unsolicited contact or spamming of applicants outside the platform is not allowed. Any misuse of personal data by an Employer may result in suspension or termination of the employer’s account and possible legal action.
8. Applicant-Specific Provisions
8.1 Consent to Data Sharing with Employers
By applying for jobs on our platform or using any “Express Interest” features, Applicants consent to our sharing the relevant portions of their personal profile and application materials with the Employers they apply to. We do not share your data with any employer other than those to whom you explicitly apply or to whom you send your profile.
8.2 Communication Channels
Applicants agree to receive communications from us and from prospective Employers through the Service. This may include in-app messaging, emails, or SMS notifications. Employers may contact Applicants regarding job opportunities through the provided communication channels. Applicants are responsible for how they use communication information and should exercise caution when interacting outside the platform.
8.3 Matching Algorithm and Job Recommendations
We use automated systems to recommend jobs that match your profile, and to show employers applicant candidates. These recommendations are based on information you provide (skills, experience, preferences) and are intended to help you discover suitable opportunities. However, these suggestions do not guarantee that you will be matched or hired. Both Applicants and Employers should verify all information independently.
8.4 Employer Conduct and Job Accuracy Disclaimer
Our platform simply connects Applicants and Employers; we are not a party to any employment relationship. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any job postings. We expressly disclaim any liability for errors or misrepresentations in job listings or employer communications. Employers’ actions (interviews, hiring decisions, etc.) and the authenticity of job offers are beyond our control. Applicants should conduct their own due diligence and use personal judgment when interacting with employers. We do not endorse or assume responsibility for the behavior or practices of employers.
8.5 User Reviews and Content
Our Service may allow Applicants to submit reviews or feedback about companies and job experiences (anonymous company reviews, forum posts, etc.). Any such reviews reflect the personal opinions of the users and are not statements from us. We moderate content to the best of our ability, but we do not guarantee its accuracy or authenticity. We disclaim liability for any user-generated content, including reviews, and encourage users to report any inappropriate or false content.
8.6 Data Retention for Applicants
We will retain your personal data associated with your account and applications as long as your account is active or for so long as needed to fulfill the purposes of the Service. If you delete your account or request deletion of your data, we will erase your personal information from active systems (except data required by law or for legitimate business purposes). However, we may retain aggregated or de-identified information indefinitely.
9. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
This Privacy Policy and the processing of personal data under it shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to this Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Delhi (New Delhi), India. Nothing in this Policy shall prevent us from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief in any jurisdiction.
