An Indian startup, Enlog, has built a tiny device that’s making a huge impact. Founded by engineer Karan Bakshi in 2019, the company creates a smart plug-in device that cuts down electricity wastage by turning off idle appliances-saving businesses up to 23% on their energy bills.
Originally created to solve his father’s struggle with high power bills, the idea quickly grew into a full-fledged innovation. The smart device detects unused electrical load and switches it off automatically, preventing unnecessary energy loss.
With over 23,000 users, Enlog has saved more than 4800 MWh of energy-enough to power 1700 homes for a year-and has cut over ₹25 crore in electricity bills. Even luxury hotels like Taj are using it to reduce their carbon footprint.
Priced under ₹2,000, this device is not only saving money but also helping tackle India’s growing energy crisis. As climate change worsens and bills rise, Enlog is quietly revolutionizing how India consumes electricity.
