Google has unveiled a groundbreaking feature called Video Overviews for its AI-powered tool NotebookLM, making note-taking smarter and more visual than ever. Much like a YouTube video for your notes, this feature transforms complex topics into narrated slide presentations, pulling in quotes, images, diagrams, and statistics for better comprehension.
Originally announced at Google I/O 2025, Video Overviews are a follow-up to the existing Audio Overviews, which turned notes into podcast-style summaries. Now, users get an even richer learning experience with AI-generated visuals that break down tough concepts—perfect for students, researchers, and professionals.
Users can customize the content by setting learning goals or selecting target audiences. Whether you're a complete beginner or an expert, NotebookLM adapts accordingly. Although currently only available in English, support for other languages is coming soon.
In addition, Google is enhancing NotebookLM Studio with multitasking capabilities-letting users listen to an Audio Overview while working on mind maps or reviewing study guides.
As AI continues to revolutionize education and productivity, Google’s latest feature brings us one step closer to personalized, interactive, and visual learning at your fingertips.
