On July 26, 2025, the Army Training Command (ARTRAC) in Shimla marked the 26th anniversary of India's victory in the Kargil War. This day, known as Kargil Vijay Diwas, honors the courage and dedication of Indian soldiers who fought to protect our nation's borders in 1999.

The Kargil War was a significant conflict between India and Pakistan, taking place in the challenging terrains of the Kargil district. Despite harsh conditions, Indian forces successfully reclaimed occupied territories, showcasing unparalleled bravery.

During the commemoration, ARTRAC organized various events, including wreath-laying ceremonies and interactions with war veterans. These activities served as a reminder of the sacrifices made by our armed forces and the importance of national unity. Kargil Vijay Diwas is observed across the country, with citizens paying homage to the martyrs and expressing gratitude for the security provided by our military. Such commemorations inspire patriotism and remind us of the resilience and strength of our nation.

As we remember this significant day, it's essential to honor the legacy of our heroes and strive to uphold the values they fought for.
