Delhi’s The Bhag Club, launched in July 2024, marked its first anniversary last month. Founded by Delhi University graduates Jyotiraditya Thakur and Krishbir Singh, the club quickly grew into a vibrant running community that attracts hundreds of Gen Z participants every weekend.
The club offers casual group runs ranging from 3 km to 9 km, prioritizing social connection over competition. As co-founder Jyotiraditya notes, runs intentionally stay under 9 km to foster inclusivity and keep the vibe friendly and engaging.
Bhag Club’s appeal lies in its youthful branding and judgment‑free environment - think music, post‑run coffee meets, matcha vibes, and even occasional tug-of-war games. What began as a small meetup for friends has spread rapidly across Delhi through social media-driven FOMO.
The one‑year milestone underscores how running as a lifestyle is gaining traction among Delhi’s youth - not just for fitness but as a community bonding experience and even a springboard to friendships (or more).
