New Delhi, July 12, 2025 – Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed more than 51,000 appointment letters to newly selected candidates across central government departments during the 16th Rozgar Mela, held this morning. The event took place at 47 venues nationwide, with PM Modi addressing the recruits via video conference.

The recruits will serve in a wide array of ministries and agencies, including the Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Posts, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Labour & Employment, among others.

Launched in October 2022, the Rozgar Mela initiative has so far facilitated over 1 million government recruitments, reinforcing the government's push to reduce youth unemployment and empower India’s workforce.

During the ceremony, PM Modi emphasized the importance of youth participation in national development and described the initiative as a "step towards a self-reliant India."
