NATO, a group of countries that came together after World War II to protect each other, is now facing many changes. The world is no longer centered around just one or two big powers. Countries like China and Russia are becoming stronger, and that’s creating new challenges for NATO. Russia has been acting aggressively in recent years, especially in Europe, and China is growing its influence in many parts of the world.
Inside NATO, not all countries agree on what the biggest threat is or how much money should be spent on defense. Some members spend more, while others don’t meet the required levels. This sometimes creates tension among them.
To stay strong and useful, NATO is focusing on new areas like cyber defense, artificial intelligence, and better technology. It’s also building ties with countries in Asia to handle global issues better. NATO’s goal now is to stay united, modernize its strategies, and make sure it’s ready for both old and new types of threats.
