Gadkari warns 'World war could break out anytime!'

Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari cautioned on July 6, 2025, that escalating global tensions - specifically in Russia–Ukraine and Israel–Iran - combined with superpowers’ authoritarian postures, could trigger a World War “anytime” . Speaking at the launch of Beyond Borders in Nagpur, he warned that advances in warfare technology - such as missiles and drones - have diminished the relevance of tanks and aircraft, making it increasingly difficult to protect civilian lives .

Gadkari emphasised that the erosion of global coordination, harmony, and love stems from dictatorial superpower behavior, creating an atmosphere of pervasive conflict. He argued these developments pose a grave danger to humanity, stressing the urgent need for global discussions and policy reviews to avert destruction.

Highlighting India’s legacy of non-violence and peace inspired by Buddhism, Gadkari urged nations to deliberate carefully on international decisions to foster stability and prevent catastrophe. His warnings echo a growing global concern over the unchecked rise of technological warfare and geopolitical authoritarianism.
