India's Operation Sindoor still on: High alert must continue!

Chief of Defence Staff Gen. Anil Chauhan reaffirmed that Operation Sindoor - India’s cross-border military response to the Pahalgam terror attack—remains active and military preparedness must remain “very high, 24×7, 365 days.” He emphasized there are “no runners-up in war,” stressing that constant vigilance and operational efficiency are non-negotiable.

In his address during a defence seminar at Subroto Park, Gen. Chauhan outlined that future soldiers must be equipped as “information warriors, technology warriors, and scholar warriors.” This reflects a modern, integrated force ready to operate across aerospace, cyber, and conventional domains.

Meanwhile, government spokesmen described Operation Sindoor as a “measured, non‑escalatory” response to terrorism, noting Indian efforts targeted terror infrastructure without seeking escalation. A ceasefire was secured after Pakistan reportedly initiated talks.

The alignment between India's political leadership and military command underscores a consensus: while major operations may pause, strategic readiness must not.
