UGC-NET June 2025 results out: Who qualified, who didn't?

The National Testing Agency (NTA) declared the results of the UGC‑NET June 2025 examination on July 21, 2025. Out of 10,19,751 registered candidates, 7,52,007 appeared, and 1,88,333 have qualified across different categories .

Result breakdown:

  • 5,269 candidates qualified for both Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor eligibility .

  • 54,885 candidates qualified for Assistant Professor and are also eligible for PhD admission .

  • 1,28,179 candidates qualified for PhD admission only .

The UGC-NET, conducted in computer-based format between June 25–29, 2025, included two papers covering a wide range of subjects. Alongside the results, the NTA released subject/cate­gory-wise cutoffs and final answer keys; candidates can download their scorecards from ugcnet.nta.ac.in .

Qualified candidates for JRF can pursue government-funded research programs, while others can apply for assistant professorships or PhD programs. Official e-certificates and JRF award letters will be available soon.
