Why pay for AI, When the Govt gives it for free?

The Ministry of Education has unveiled five free Artificial Intelligence (AI) courses on the SWAYAM and SWAYAM Plus platform, empowering learners from diverse academic backgrounds to gain cutting-edge AI skills at no cost.

These offerings include:

  • AI/ML Using Python: A 36-hour introduction covering statistics, linear algebra, optimization, data visualization, and Python-based programming fundamentals.

  • Cricket Analytics with AI: A 25-hour course by IIT Madras leveraging sports analytics to demonstrate AI concepts using cricket examples.

  • AI in Physics: A 45-hour module guiding students through machine learning and neural networks to solve real-world physics problems.

  • AI in Chemistry: A hands-on course on using AI to predict molecular properties, model reactions, and aid in drug design.

  • AI in Accounting: A 45-hour program for commerce and management students that integrates AI with accounting principles.

No prior AI or coding experience is required—only basic digital literacy. These courses feature interactive activities and real-world datasets. IIT Madras has aligned them with the National Credit Framework (NCrF), allowing universities to offer academic credits. While course access is free, certification is available for a nominal fee.
