“Bob It”: India’s Ride-Aggregation Startup Debuts!

Navigating multiple ride apps is a pain point many commuters know well. Bob Rides, launched September 2025 by Jai Adithya Poorana and Ansh Arora, aims to be the antidote. Rather than competing head-on with Ola, Uber or Rapido, Bob aggregates them showing options side by side and allowing booking from within Bob itself.

Enter your starting point and destination, and Bob displays autos, bikes, cabs across partner platforms. With a tap on “Just Bob It”, you get a ride without switching apps, re-entering details or missing out on deals. On the tech front, Bob is built on React Native, Express and Node.js, enabling real-time integration with mobility platforms and even compliance with ONDC openness.

In its first month, Bob claims over 9,000 users and 5,000 daily active users. While currently live across India, its focus rollout is in Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata. It’s also testing a hyperlocal delivery feature, Parcels, to diversify offerings.

Revenue is earned via commissions from partner ride platforms. A “Fastest Ride” convenience fee (₹ 3-5) is planned for smart route optimisations. Bob sees itself not as a rival but as a complementary overlay giving users choice, and smaller operators visibility. If it scales effectively, it could redefine how India books urban rides.
