The Bar Council of India (BCI) has announced that registration for the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) 20 will close on October 28, 2025. Interested candidates who have completed a 3-year or 5-year LL.B. degree from a recognised university and hold valid enrollment with a State Bar Council are eligible to apply.
After registration closes, a correction window is expected to open by October 31, during which applicants can rectify errors in their forms. Admit cards are tentatively scheduled for release around mid-November, ahead of the exam likely set for the end of November or December 2025.
The exam covers 19 law subjects and comprises 100 multiple-choice questions with no negative marking. Successful candidates will be awarded the Certificate of Practice, enabling them to practise law in Indian courts. With time running out, aspiring lawyers are urged to submit their applications and proof-read all entries before the deadline.
