The SBI Foundation has launched its Platinum Jubilee Asha Scholarship 2025, offering up to ₹20 lakh to meritorious students from economically weaker families. The wide-ranging program supports students from Class 9 through undergraduate, postgraduate, IIT, IIM, and medical courses, as well as those pursuing higher studies abroad.
Here’s how the aid breaks down: school students (Class 9–12) can receive around ₹15,000, while UG, PG, and medical students may get up to ₹5 lakh based on category. Notably, SC/ST students admitted to top 200 international universities can avail the full ₹20 lakh.
Eligibility criteria include: minimum 75% marks (or 7 CGPA) in the last exam, with a 10% relaxation for SC/ST applicants. Half of the scholarship slots are reserved for girls, and 50% for SC/ST category, reinforcing SBI’s push for inclusivity.
To apply, students need an SBI bank account, and income limits for the family vary - ₹3–6 lakh depending on the student’s level and category. The last date to apply is November 15, 2025, so eligible students should act fast.
