Despite his reputation, his first electoral outing fizzled: Jan Suraaj contested 238 seats but failed to win any.
IndiaTV argues that Kejriwal’s success came from connecting directly with voters, presenting himself as a messenger of change. Kishor, by contrast, lacked organic grassroots appeal — his campaign style and media intensity couldn’t replicate his behind-the-scenes strategist magic. Analysts quoted by IndiaTV also point to a mismatch between his promises and voter trust, coupled with limited local structures.
