Delhi felt a little more colorful today as the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) inaugurated the two-day Annual Winter Rose Show at the India–Africa Friendship Rose Garden in Chanakyapuri. The event was formally opened by Shri Keshav Chandra, Chairperson NDMC, marking the start of one of the capital’s most awaited floral celebrations.
Organised by NDMC in association with The Rose Society of India, the show brings together the beauty, skill, and passion behind rose cultivation from across the country. As visitors enter the garden, they are greeted by an extraordinary display of over 70 varieties of roses, carefully arranged across 22 classes and more than 175 sections.
What truly sets this show apart is its scale and diversity. Nearly 1,250 rose exhibits are on display, presented by participants from different parts of India. Around 10 major organisations and over 200 individual exhibitors have come together, making the exhibition both vibrant and highly competitive.
From classic blooms to rare hybrids, every corner of the garden reflects dedication and creativity. The Winter Rose Show is not just a visual treat. It is a celebration of nature, artistry, and India’s rich horticultural culture, right in the heart of the capital.
