India has entered the autonomous mobility era with Omega Seiki Mobility’s Swayamgati, the nation’s first self-driving electric three-wheeler. Priced at ₹4 lakh (passenger) and ₹4.15 lakh (cargo), this innovation is powered by a 10.3 kWh battery offering up to 120 km range per charge.
Equipped with AI-driven autonomy, LiDAR, GPS, multi-sensor navigation, and remote safety features, Swayamgati can operate driverless on pre-mapped routes. During initial trials, it successfully completed a 3 km journey with seven stops, smoothly detecting obstacles and ensuring safe passenger handling.
Omega Seiki plans to roll out 1,500 autonomous EVs in the next two years, focusing deployment in airports, gated communities, tech parks, industrial hubs, and smart cities. The company believes this step puts India at the forefront of autonomous transport innovation.
Chairman Uday Narang emphasized that autonomous vehicles are now a “present-day necessity”, adding that India can lead the global shift by delivering accessible, homegrown AI mobility solutions. With Swayamgati, India takes a giant leap toward sustainable, driverless urban transport.
