This list of horror films is cursed, view at your own risk

Streaming platforms across India are now home to a spine-chilling lineup of horror films that have captivated audiences with gripping narratives and stellar execution.

Tumbbad (Prime Video) is a folk-horror marvel set in pre-independence India, weaving a haunting tale of cursed treasure and family greed. The Conjuring (Netflix) delivers classic paranormal terror inspired by real-life supernatural investigations, while Hereditary (Prime Video) plunges into Puritan paranoia and cults with bone-deep dread.

Atmospheric enchantment continues with The Witch (Netflix/Prime Video), a tale of youthful spirit communication gone terrifying. Talk to Me (Prime Video) introduces brutal Thai horror fused with Muay Thai and zombies. Ziam (Netflix) unnerves with psychological horror adapted from Stephen King.

Bollywood contributions include The Monkey, a horror-comedy about festive spirits; Stree (Netflix), a feminist folklore horror from colonial Bengal; and Bulbbul (Netflix), a demonic family drama with haunting visuals. Rounding off the list is Evil Dead Rise (JioCinema), offering a fresh twist on the cult franchise.
