In 2018, a Mumbai-based fan named Nisha Patil, aged 62 and suffering from a terminal illness, shocked the world when she bequeathed her entire estate—valued at ₹72 crore - to Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt. Despite never having met him, she meticulously instructed her bank to transfer all her assets to him after her passing. 

When contacted by police to confirm the will, Dutt was visibly overwhelmed. He promptly clarified that he had no personal connection with Nisha and had no intention of claiming the inheritance. Instead, he directed that the assets be returned to her legal heirs. His lawyer confirmed this position, stating Dutt would comply with all necessary legal proceedings to ensure the property reverted to the family. 

The incident highlights the extraordinary devotion of fans - and the actor’s integrity in choosing moral responsibility over personal gain.
