MathGPT, developed by GotIt! Education, continues its rapid climb evolving from beta trials into a trusted classroom staple. Since its initial deployment in early 2023, the AI tutor inclusive of course and assignment management has been adopted by over 30 community colleges across the US, including in California, serving more than 1,000 students and facilitating in excess of 50,000 tutoring sessions averaging about 7.5 hours of AI support per student each semester.
Its design centers on academic integrity: rather than simply giving answers, MathGPT employs Socratic tutoring, prompting students to think through problems and offering step-by-step guidance, helping build true understanding and confidence. This approach aligns with its mission to be “the AI that instructors trust and students love”.
Beyond tutoring, instructors benefit from automated assignment creation, grading, and analytics, freeing them to focus on teaching and mentorship. According to its founder, implementing MathGPT adds roughly 7+ structured support hours per student per course, at low cost to institutions.
With momentum building in dozens of classrooms, MathGPT is positioning itself as a transformational ed-tech platform bridging gaps in foundational math, protecting academic integrity, and reshaping how instructors and learners collaborate.
