Lenskart to launch Smartglasses with built-in UPI Payments!

Lenskart is stepping into the wearable-fintech space with its upcoming B Camera Smartglasses, which will integrate UPI payment capabilities. The eyewear major announced the innovation at the Global Fintech Festival 2025, saying users can complete transactions simply by scanning a QR code with their smartglasses - no phone or PIN needed.

Under the hood, the device links securely to the user’s bank account using NPCI’s UPI Circle feature, enabling voice-command authentication and seamless payment completion. Lenskart emphasises privacy and real-time verification as key design priorities. The B Camera smartglasses will also include a point-of-view (POV) camera and AI features, blending vision, intelligence and commerce into one wearable.

This move gives Lenskart a unique technological edge, positioning it not just as an eyewear brand but a pioneer in India’s wearable payments frontier — and potentially bolsters its appeal ahead of its IPO.
