Spotify has rolled out a brand-new ‘Import Your Music’ feature that finally solves one of the biggest problems for music lovers—moving playlists from one platform to another. Until now, switching to Spotify often meant depending on third-party apps or manually rebuilding playlists. But with this global rollout, users can directly transfer their existing playlists into Spotify with just a few taps.
The feature is expected to appear in users’ libraries over the next few days, especially for mobile users.
Spotify says the goal is to make migration smoother for listeners who want to switch from other streaming services without losing years of saved songs, curated playlists, or personal music collections.
This marks one of Spotify’s strongest efforts to attract new subscribers by simplifying the onboarding experience. With competition increasing among music apps, Spotify aims to become the easiest platform to join-without asking users to start their music journey from zero. For millions of listeners, this update could be a game-changer.
