The obsession with “Korean glass skin” is growing fast in India, with skincare lovers trying everything from hydrating toners to multi-step routines for that smooth, glowing, mirror-like finish. But experts say achieving glass skin on Indian skin is possible only with the right approach — not by blindly copying Korean skincare trends.
Indian skin behaves differently because of higher melanin, strong sun exposure, humidity, and pollution. This makes concerns like pigmentation, tanning, enlarged pores, and oiliness more common. Dermatologists say the goal should not be perfectly poreless “glass skin,” but healthy, hydrated, and naturally glowing skin.
Skincare experts recommend focusing on gentle hydration and repairing the skin barrier instead of using too many products at once. Ingredients like niacinamide, ceramides, Centella Asiatica, rice extract, and lightweight moisturisers are becoming popular for giving Indian skin a healthy glow without irritation.
One of the most important steps is using sunscreen daily. Experts say UV exposure can quickly worsen pigmentation, tanning, and dullness, making sunscreen essential for maintaining clear and radiant skin.
Many beauty enthusiasts are now adapting Korean skincare routines for Indian weather by choosing lighter products and fewer layers. Instead of chasing unrealistic perfection, the trend is shifting towards achieving a healthy “Indian glow” that suits Indian skin naturally
