Delhi breathes easy: Cleanest Air in a Decade meets Monsoon showers!

Delhi recorded a low of 25.7 °C on August 2, 2025, falling approximately 1.4 degrees below the season’s average, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) . The relative humidity measured at 81% around 8:30 AM.

The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) reported a satisfactory AQI of 74, well within the 51–100 bracket - marking a continuation of Delhi’s sustained clean air phase .

The IMD has issued a forecast of light to moderate thunderstorms with rain over the next two days, under a yellow alert (“Be Aware”) as monsoon moisture continues to influence the region . Maximum temperatures are expected to stay around 35 °C, providing relief from recent heat surges.

This shift to cooler nights and consistently satisfactory air quality comes after July’s record-low monthly AQI, the cleanest in over a decade, with sustained rainfall averaging well above seasonal norms .
