A routine reprimand escalated into a horrific tragedy this week in Delhi’s Paschim Vihar area. A 24-year-old domestic worker, who had been employed for household chores, allegedly fatally stabbed his employer a woman in her 50s after she scolded him. When her young son tried to intervene, the attacker turned on him as well, resulting in the boy’s untimely death.
The assailant fled immediately after the killings but was apprehended during an attempted escape toward Rajasthan. Upon arrest, he confessed to the crime, citing anger and frustration as his motive. Investigators revealed that he confessed to both murders and expressed no immediate remorse.
Police have registered two counts of murder under IPC sections 302 and launched an investigation into the events leading to the tragedy. Authorities are also investigating the nature of the relationship between the worker and the family to establish potential warning signs.
Residents in the neighborhood expressed shock and grief. Neighbors describe the family as calm and peaceful, with the sudden violence jolting the entire community.
