A tragic accident in Bhavnagar, Gujarat, has sparked outrage after CCTV footage captured a speeding white Hyundai Creta plowing into two pedestrians and a scooter. The driver, 20-year-old Harshraj Singh Gohil, son of Assistant Sub-Inspector Aniruddha Singh Vajubha Gohil, was racing his SUV with a friend in a red Brezza at estimated speeds of 120–150 km/h on July 17. 

The footage shows the SUV first hitting the two victims - identified as 30-year-old engineer Bhargav Bhatt and 65-year-old Champaben Vachani—killing them instantly. It then collided with a scooter, injuring two others.

Harshraj briefly fled but was later taken into custody. His father reportedly arrived at the scene, reprimanded him, and surrendered him to the Nilambag police station. A police cruiser and other vehicles were also damaged in the incident.

The incident has triggered public anger over reckless driving and perceived privilege. Authorities have registered a case and initiated investigations, and calls for stringent action and accountability are mounting.
