Happy National WFH Day! Celebrate by… not logging in.

India celebrates National Work From Home Day on June 26, a day that shines a spotlight on the nation's evolving work culture. What began as a pandemic necessity has now transformed into a long-term preference for many professionals.

In the five years since COVID-19 disrupted traditional office life, remote and hybrid work models have become increasingly mainstream. A 2025 survey by Nasscom shows nearly half of India’s tech and services workforce now works remotely at least 3 days a week, citing benefits like increased productivity, family time, and mental health.

However, this flexibility comes with its own set of challenges - Zoom fatigue, lack of social interaction, and burnout have triggered ongoing debates around employee well-being and digital boundaries.

As India marks this day, companies and workers alike are asking: Is this the future of work, or just a comfortable transition phase? One thing's certain - the 9-to-5 cubicle life may never fully return.
