Ira Bindra, Group President for People & Talent at Reliance Industries, has been named among the world’s top Chief Human Resources Officers in the globally recognised 2025 Leaders40 list by N2Growth. This honour makes Reliance the only Indian company featured this year and establishes Bindra as the first Indian woman executive from an Indian firm to receive this distinction.
Ranked 28th globally, Bindra has been celebrated for reshaping HR strategy at one of India’s largest private-sector employers, overseeing a diverse workforce of nearly 360,000 employees across energy, telecom, retail, media, and emerging green technology sectors. Her leadership is credited with driving cultural transformation, talent development, and future-ready workforce initiatives at Reliance.
Before joining Reliance, Bindra worked in senior HR leadership roles at Medtronic and spent close to two decades at General Electric, gaining global experience across multiple business environments. She holds an MBA from the Maastricht School of Management and a History degree from Lady Shri Ram College.
Her inclusion in the list highlights the growing global relevance of Indian HR leadership and its impact on organisational transformation.
