In Ahmedabad, two elderly sisters are quietly breaking age stereotypes - not with speeches, but on a scooter. Mandakini Shah (87) and her sister Ushaben (84) have gone viral for riding together through city roads with confidence and joy.
What makes their story special is that Mandakini learned to ride a scooter at the age of 62, proving it’s never too late to learn something new. Today, the sisters use their scooter for daily travel and often give lifts to people around them, spreading smiles wherever they go.
Dressed in simple cotton sarees, the duo moves through traffic fearlessly, earning the nickname “Biker Dadis” on social media. Their videos have touched thousands, with people calling them inspiring, fearless, and full of life.
The sisters believe independence keeps them active and happy. For them, riding is not about fame - it’s about freedom. Their journey quietly challenges age-related stereotypes and reminds everyone that passion doesn’t retire with age.
Sometimes, the most powerful motivation comes from people who choose to live life on their own terms.
