Senai addresses a critical gap in modern intelligence: the speed at which shaky, mobile-phone footage shapes public perception during crises. While traditional intelligence often relies on intercepted messages or official reports, Senai treats open-source video as a primary signal, allowing authorities to act before narratives harden or evidence is deleted.
Key Technical & Strategic Highlights:
• The Concept of OVINT: Senai coined the term "Online Video Intelligence" to frame social media video as a distinct, primary source of security data.
• Multimodal AI Engine: The platform combines computer vision, audio analysis, language processing, and geospatial inference. This allows it to take scattered, unverified clips and turn them into a structured, location-specific "live operational picture."
• Real-World Impact:
• Crisis Management: During a recent outbreak of violence in a European capital, authorities used Senai to map key actors and shifting dynamics in real-time, preserving digital evidence before it could be removed from platforms.
• Counter-Influence: The system successfully identified a coordinated network (linked to suspected Russian activity) that was using AI-generated and manipulated footage to amplify specific narratives.
• Dual-Use Potential: While primarily focused on the public sector (intelligence and law enforcement), Senai has secured its first U.S. enterprise customer, indicating a growing market for corporate security and brand protection.
Leadership & Funding:
The company is led by CEO David Allouche-Levinsky and a team of former intelligence professionals. The $6.2 million round included participation from FS Ventures, 1948 Ventures, and prominent investor Jonathan Kolber. The funds will be used to accelerate product development and expand deployments across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.
Why It Matters in 2026:
With the rise of "Deepfakes" and the extreme speed of social media, governments are struggling to distinguish fact from fabrication. Senai’s platform aims to give agencies the "speed of social media," allowing them to intervene in influence operations or physical security threats as they happen, rather than conducting retrospective investigations.
