You’ll be shocked by which passport rules the world in 2026!

The Henley & Partners Passport Index 2026 has revealed the world’s most powerful and weakest passports. Leading the list, Singapore continues to offer its citizens access to 192 countries without a traditional visa, followed closely by Japan and South Korea. European nations also dominate the top 10, showcasing the strong global mobility of Asian and European passports.

India ranks 75th, granting its citizens access to 56 destinations through visa-free travel, visa-on-arrival, or e-visa, including key Asian, African, and island nations. While India’s passport doesn’t match the top-tier countries, it still opens doors to a range of destinations without pre-approved visas.

At the other end, Afghanistan sits at the bottom, with only 24 accessible countries, followed by Syria, Iraq, Yemen, and Pakistan. Many low-ranking passports belong to nations affected by conflict, sanctions, or limited diplomatic ties, which heavily restrict international travel freedom.

This ranking highlights the growing gap in global mobility, influencing travel, business, and international opportunities.
