Rohit Sharma, fondly known as "The Hitman," is not just a cricketing genius, he's a symbol of elegance, resilience, and transformation in modern cricket.
Born on April 30, 1987, in Nagpur, Rohit grew up in a modest household, far from the spotlight he commands today.
His journey began under coach Dinesh Lad, who quickly spotted his natural talent and moved him to a school where his cricketing dreams could flourish.
Rohit's rise was not instant. After early promise in domestic cricket, it was his 2013 promotion to ODI opener that changed everything.
From there, records tumbled, three ODI double centuries, the highest individual score in ODIs (264), and five centuries in a single World Cup (2019). In T20Is, he became the first to smash five centuries and leads the world in sixes.
In Tests, he reinvented himself as an opener in 2019 and has led India to major wins abroad. As IPL captain of Mumbai Indians, he’s claimed five titles, showing his calm yet sharp leadership.
From Mumbai streets to cricketing royalty, Rohit Sharma's legacy is still unfolding, one six at a time.
