A shocking incident took place in Mandrem, Goa, where a tourist from Delhi was arrested for running over a local woman after a disagreement about a pet dog. The tragic event has left the local community in shock.

According to police reports, Maria Feliz Fernandes asked a tourist family to keep their dog away from her house because it was disturbing her pet. However, this small request quickly turned into a heated argument, leading to a violent fight.

During the clash, one of the women in the tourist group pulled Ms Fernandes by her hair, making her fall to the ground. Things then took a deadly turn when Deepak Batra, one of the tourists, drove his car over Ms Fernandes at high speed, dragging her body for about 10 metres.

As her son Joseph tried to help her, he injured his shoulder in the struggle. The police were immediately called, and Batra was arrested on suspicion of murder.

This tragic incident has caused outrage among locals, who are now demanding strict punishment for the accused. The police are investigating the case further, and people are hoping for justice for Maria Feliz Fernandes.
