This includes the doubling of the Koderma - Barkakana line in Jharkhand and the Ballari - Chikjajur line in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, both slated for completion within three years .

Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw highlighted that these expansions will significantly reduce congestion, increase capacity, and promote regional economic development .
