The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) declared the Prelims 2025 results on June 11, with 14,161 candidates advancing to the Mains stage . The screening exams were held on May 25 across multiple centers throughout India. Participants can now access the official PDF roll list on upsc.gov.in and upsconline.gov.in to verify their qualification status .

This year, over 10 lakh aspirants competed for 979 prestigious positions in services such as IAS, IPS, and IFS . The UPSC is scheduled to open the Detailed Application Form (DAF-I) portal from June 16 to June 25, enabling qualifiers to officially register for the Mains, which begins August 22 and spans five rigorous days.

With the Prelims hurdle cleared, candidates must now shift focus to the mains—featuring descriptive papers and essay-writing - to secure a coveted spot in the final merit list. This milestone marks the end of one round and the start of an even tougher journey toward joining India’s administrative elite.
