In a historic moment for modern football, Kylian Mbappé became the youngest player in this century — and only the second ever after Pelé — to reach 400 career goals.
His landmark strike came during France’s 4–0 win over Ukraine in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, where his second goal of the match sealed both the result and the milestone.
According to IFFHS data, Mbappé scored his 400th goal at just 26 years and 328 days old — faster than Lionel Messi (who did it at 27) and Cristiano Ronaldo (at 28).
Here’s how his goals break down: 27 for Monaco, 256 for Paris Saint-Germain, 62 for Real Madrid and 55 for France.
Despite the significance, Mbappé remained characteristically humble. “400 goals don’t impress people,” he said afterward. “I need to score at least 400 more.”
His blazing pace to this milestone — and the ambition in his words — suggest he’s not just chasing legends, but building his own legacy.
