Mrs India 2021 Simran Taneja, a noted lifestyle influencer, has revealed her skin looks “better at 43 than at 33,” crediting a series of holistic lifestyle changes for the transformation. In a detailed Instagram post, Taneja shared that the secret goes beyond skincare products. Key changes include drinking ample water with electrolytes or coconut water, starting the day with turmeric and moringa powder, and cutting out most dairy—except for a little in tea—which she claims eliminated her breakouts. She also switched to 70% dark chocolate for antioxidants, drastically reduced alcohol intake, and made omega-3s non-negotiable, either through supplements or foods like fish and chia seeds.
Taneja emphasized adding healthy fats—avocado, nuts, ghee, and olive oil—for radiant skin, limiting refined sugar, and consuming bone broth for gut health. "Uninterrupted baby sleep for 7-8 hours" and a consistent skincare routine were also essential, she noted, though she stressed that lasting results come from consistency, not overnight fixes.
Nutritionist Kanikka Malhotra affirmed many of these habits support skin health and reduce inflammation, but said results can vary and robust clinical evidence is mixed. Experts advise personalisation and consulting a healthcare provider before making significant changes.
