A viral video has sparked controversy and backlash online, showing a British woman at Heathrow Airport lashing out at Indian-origin staff for not speaking English. The woman, visibly upset, shouted “Deport them all”, triggering accusations of racism and xenophobia.
The incident took place in a busy terminal, where the woman is heard criticizing the airport’s workforce, stating that “everyone here is Indian” and expressing frustration that she was allegedly unable to communicate effectively due to language barriers. Bystanders filmed her tirade as she continued berating the staff and questioning why they were employed in such large numbers.
The clip quickly went viral on social media platforms, with users condemning the woman's behavior. Many pointed out the irony, given that English is widely spoken in India, and highlighted the significant role of Indian-origin professionals in keeping major UK services running.
Twitter users and Reddit commenters labeled her remarks as “entitled”, “ignorant”, and “deeply racist”. Some also came to the defense of the Indian staff, calling them “polite and professional”, and demanded that the airport authority take action against the disruptive passenger.
There has been no official statement yet from Heathrow Airport or the UK Border Force regarding the incident, but the video continues to ignite conversations around racism, immigration, and the multicultural workforce in the UK.
