8 workout mistakes that could cost you your knees!

Going to the gym daily may feel like the ultimate fitness flex - but experts warn that the wrong moves can silently ruin your joints before you even hit 30.

Certified trainer Alex (NASM) recently shared eight common gym mistakes that young fitness enthusiasts often ignore. He says, “It’s not overtraining that ruins lifters. It’s doing dumb stuff for too long and calling it ‘hard work’.”

Some of the biggest culprits include ego lifting (lifting heavier than your body can handle), poor posture, skipping warm-ups, copying online workout trends, and neglecting rest days. These errors put massive pressure on your knees, shoulders, and back, leading to lifelong joint damage.

Alex emphasizes that true progress comes from correct form, controlled reps, and knowing when to stop. “Some lifts build muscle,” he warns, “others build hospital visits.”

So, if you’re chasing gains - focus on balance, not bravado. Because the real flex is staying injury-free for life.
