Something feels off lately—and people are starting to notice it more clearly.
One major concern is the decline in focus and attention span. Many people struggle to stay present, constantly switching between apps, notifications, and screens. Even simple conversations are getting interrupted by phone checks.
Another worrying shift is the loss of basic thinking skills. With information always available online, people are relying less on memory, problem-solving, and independent thinking.
There’s also a visible drop in empathy. Online interactions have made it easier to judge, criticise, or ignore others without understanding their situation. Real human connection feels weaker, even though everyone is more “connected” than ever.
Technology dependency is growing fast. From using AI for small tasks to depending on devices for entertainment and decisions, many feel we’re becoming too comfortable with shortcuts.
Even boredom has disappeared. Every free moment is filled with scrolling, leaving little space for creativity or self-reflection.
These trends may seem normal now-but they raise a bigger question.
Are we becoming more efficient, or just slowly losing the ability to think, feel, and connect deeply?
