This 1-second salt hack claims to stop migraines… really?

A simple trick is going viral-placing a pinch of salt under your tongue to get instant migraine relief. Sounds easy, but the reality is a bit more complicated.

The idea comes from the link between migraines, hydration, and sodium levels. In some cases, low sodium or dehydration can trigger headaches, so a small amount of salt might help restore balance.

But here’s the catch-there’s no solid proof that this method actually works as a reliable treatment. In fact, too much salt can sometimes make headaches worse instead of better.

That’s why experts suggest sticking to safer options like drinking enough water, resting in a quiet dark room, and managing stress levels.

So while this hack might work for a few people, it’s not a guaranteed fix. Think of it as a quick experiment, not a solution.
