The Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLUs) has officially opened the CLAT 2026 registration window as of August 1, 2025, marking the start of the admission process for Undergraduate (LLB) and Postgraduate (LLM) law programs across 22 NLUs in India . Candidates can apply through the official portal, consortiumofnlus.ac.in, where they must upload personal, academic, and category details, along with required documents and the application fee .

The application deadline is October 31, 2025, giving aspirants nearly three months to complete their submission . The CLAT exam will take place on Sunday, December 7, 2025, from 2 PM to 4 PM, in pen‑and‑paper format .

This exam is the standard gateway for admission to top NLUs offering 5‑year integrated LLB programs and 1‑year LLM courses. All applicants are advised to follow eligibility criteria - including passing Class XII (for UG) or LLB degree (for PG) - and ensure submission before the cutoff date.
