Born in Jaipur and raised in Chhattisgarh, Neha Byadwal grew up speaking Rajasthani and initially struggled with Hindi and English—failing class 5 became one of her early turning points. Encouraged by her father, a senior income tax officer, she excelled academically and cleared SSC exams multiple times but remained focused on her civil service dream.
Despite failing UPSC prelims twice and scoring well enough to reach the mains on her third attempt, success eluded her. Instead of giving up, she eliminated distractions—quitting social media and largely avoiding her mobile phone for nearly three years. During this period, she studied intensely, often 17–18 hours a day.
In 2023, on her fourth try, Neha secured All India Rank 569 (scoring 960 marks) and joined the IAS at just 24. She now serves as a Joint Magistrate in Jalaun, Uttar Pradesh, and previously worked as Assistant Collector in Gujarat.
Neha credits her resilience to disciplined habits, focused preparation, and family support—her father helped tutor her after long workdays, while siblings and relatives conducted interview mock sessions. Her message to aspirants: believe in yourself, embrace consistency, and never lose sight of your goal.
Her journey not only highlights the transformative power of perseverance but also challenges the notion that digital connectivity is essential to success sometimes, profound ambition thrives in silence.
