A lone bicycle, a loyal dog, and an unshakeable dream - that’s all 28-year-old Sudarshan Sanchari carries as he rides across eight countries to rebuild his childhood school in Chitradurga, Karnataka.
The school, where three generations of his family studied, now stands with cracked walls, broken benches, and leaking roofs. The sight changed him. Instead of donating money or repairing a few rooms, he took a bold decision - to rebuild the entire school by creating global awareness through an extraordinary journey.
He began cycling from Kanyakumari with just a tent, a camera, and his dog Bhairava, who travels with him across thousands of kilometres.
Over the last four years, Sudarshan has covered 60,000 km, facing harsh climates, empty pockets, broken bicycles, and days without food. Yet kindness from strangers keeps him going - meals, shelter, and support.
Now on a 780-day expedition to Cape Town, he aims to create a school where children learn not just textbooks, but AI, languages, filmmaking, art, and life skills the village never had.
