The Delhi Police and central agencies are probing how Faridabad’s Al-Falah University became an alleged hideout for a terror network connected to the Red Fort car blast that rocked Delhi on November 10. According to reports by The Times of India and Economic Times, four doctors from the university, including Dr. Umar Un Nabi and Dr. Muzammil Ahmad Ganaie, are under investigation for their suspected roles in storing nearly 2,900 kg of explosives in rented accommodations near the university.
Sources reveal that the accused used university housing and labs for secret meetings and communication. The proximity of the campus - just 45 km from Delhi - made it an ideal cover for planning operations. University officials have denied any institutional involvement and said they are fully cooperating with investigators.
The case has exposed a worrying trend of educated professionals being recruited into terror activities, highlighting how India’s academic spaces can be misused for extremist coordination.
