The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has opened admissions for its Information Security programs at the Ranchi Regional Centre. The offerings include a Master of Science in Information Security (MSCIS), a Postgraduate Diploma in Information Security (PGDIS), and an Advanced Certificate in Information Security (ACISE).
These programs are designed to equip learners with critical skills in cybersecurity, data protection, and network security - areas of growing importance in the digital era. The multi-level structure of the courses allows lateral entry and exit options, enabling students to pursue learning at their own pace based on academic and professional goals.
The courses cater to working professionals, recent graduates, and individuals seeking to upgrade their knowledge in the fast-evolving information security domain. IGNOU’s flexible open learning model ensures accessibility to students from diverse backgrounds across the region.
Prospective candidates can apply through the IGNOU admission portal. The move aligns with the university’s efforts to expand digital and technical education opportunities in eastern India.
