India produces over 3.2 million tonnes of e-waste every year - and most of it is discarded irresponsibly. But Attero, a Noida-based startup founded by brothers Rohan and Nitin Gupta, is changing that. Using advanced tech, Attero extracts valuable metals like gold, lithium, and cobalt from discarded electronics, all while protecting the environment.
With a cutting-edge recycling plant in Roorkee and over 46 global patents, Attero now operates in 6 countries and recovers 98% of materials - far above the global average.
Their platforms, Selsmart and MetalMandi, are revolutionising both consumer and scrap dealer experiences. Selsmart offers doorstep e-waste pickup with secure data wiping, while MetalMandi formalises the scrap market, ensuring better income and dignity for dealers.
From reducing pollution to creating jobs and cutting India’s dependence on imports, Attero proves that smart recycling is the future. Their mission is simple - in a world drowning in trash, nothing is waste until it’s wasted.
