A 13% jump, $18.5B valuation! Here's what's really driving IPL's explosive growth!

The Indian Premier League's business valuation has soared to $18.5 billion (₹1.56 lakh crore), reflecting a 12.9% year-on-year increase, according to Houlihan Lokey's latest report. The league's brand value alone jumped 13.8% to $3.9 billion, highlighting its growing global appeal and robust digital engagement.

Top IPL franchises now generate annual revenues of ₹650-700 crore, with 80% revenue visibility secured before tournaments begin. The capital-light model, supported by existing BCCI infrastructure and a ₹120 crore salary cap, provides significant advantages over global peers like the Premier League or NBA.

The 2025 final between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings shattered viewership records with over 600 million views on JioCinema, cementing IPL's status as a premier global sporting property.
