The Mumbai Indians delivered a statement win at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, annihilating the Rajasthan Royals by a massive 100-run margin in IPL 2025's 50th match. After being sent in to bat, MI's opening duo, Rohit Sharma and Ryan Rickelton, unleashed carnage, hammering brisk half-centuries and putting on a 116-run stand in under 12 overs. Rohit's 53 off 36 balls and Rickelton's 61 from 38 set the perfect platform, peppering the boundaries and leaving Rajasthan's bowlers clueless.
The fireworks didn't end there-Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav both smashed unbeaten 48s, propelling Mumbai to a daunting 217/2 from their 20 overs. Rajasthan's bowlers had no answers as MI's batters dominated from start to finish.
Chasing 218, the Royals' innings unraveled spectacularly. Jasprit Bumrah and Karn Sharma ripped through the top and middle order, with RR collapsing to 62/5 by the end of the powerplay-their worst start this season. Karn Sharma spun a web, finishing with three wickets, while Bumrah's precision yielded two scalps for just 15 runs.
Only Jofra Archer showed resistance, but his 30 was mere consolation as RR were bundled out for 117 in 16.1 overs. This colossal win not only extended MI's winning streak but also boosted their net run rate, putting them firmly in the race for the top spot in the playoffs.
